The After School Arms Club
The Republic of Ireland we are told is a sovereign state of Europe occupying about five sixths of the island of Ireland. It is officially a neutral country which is not part of NATO. Ireland is a sort of offshore Switzerland which has over the past decades transformed itself into a globalist haven in the wake of the now unhappily extinct Celtic Tiger economy.
Ireland is of course also a global brand that put the diddly-dee into the New World and whose sons built a lot of railways and stuff across the old empire. That is why Guinness for example is known right across the globe while the equally delicious Mercian Wyre Piddle ale Piddle in the Wind isn't.
There really is no other reason that a stout made from Liffey water should become a universal brand unless it was travelling on the coattails of something much bigger. That thing was complex it was both the British Empire and the craic that more or less deliniates the distribution of the Irish diaspora throughout the English speaking world and sometimes beyond.
The Rip Off According to the Wyre Piddle Book of Records
Throughout the fat years when the Celtic Tiger spread its balm far and wide it was all good right up to when the bubble burst, with the collapse of capitalism in 2008 and the complete take over by gangland bankers and their political drones, puttimng the final touches to the corporatocracy they try telling us is actually our precious 'democracy'.
Nowhere is more a corporatocratic wet dream come-true than the Republic of Ireland which in the last 50 years has smoothly made the transition from a dour theocracy to a glittering plutocracy, on the back of the global greed trade and multimillion dollar step dancing industry.
Have you ever wondered how so many paramilitary militias could exist in Northern Ireland, a tiny statelet one sixth the size of the Republic with an area of just 13,843 km2 (5,345 sq miles) and just about the most continuously surveilled turf on earth? This is a place roughly the same area as Connecticut but with a third of the population.
The video here suggests some answers to questions like those, the answers are perhaps not unrelated to sharing the island with a world league global entity run by an alliance of transnational corporate interests? Ireland is a virtual culture and an exclusive global mark but its national status is rather less well defined.
Here's how the globalist crime network enjoys the freedoms of Ireland's vaunted neutrality, so lets see how convent girls can become terrorists in Ireland without hindrance from the authorities and after that we can consider how evil Google really is?
But first a Mark Thomas Dispatches clip from a terror training camp somewhere in deepest darkest Ireland.
Ok let those without sin cast the first stone you might say and you'd be absolutely right, but Ireland is not just a showroom for Israeli arms dealers, far from it. Ireland is also an offshore tax haven for all sorts of dodgy dealings by the corporate entities that determine national policy and choose whether to pay taxes, how much and to whom. Some pay none at all to anybody. For what happened next to the stone thrower and the after school Convent girls arms club there's more here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJymtHn5qls
Recently Tory politicians charged by their employers at the IMF to implement the austerity programme (thereby unleashing a form of economic civil war) have been shedding crocodile tears over all the UK tax dodgers. Tough talking governor of Airstrip One, the member for Wall Street Mr David Cameron has made speeches about tax havens and how jolly unfair they are on the British tax payer and all that.
But what about the mulitnationals that use them and the arms dealers, drug barons, pimps and gangsters that do so alongside them? Google for example is clearly totally evil, selling our personal data to the Prism spies and profiteering commercial interests without any remorse nor accountability.

Like several other multinational corporations, — including Amazon,
Facebook and Starbucks — Google’s complex corporate structures and
disproportionately low tax bills have drawn the ire of the British
public. Well I say multinational here, but what I mean is US based economic imperialism, the advertising wing of the evil empire founded upon Washington's warped dream of global domination and the economic enslavement of planet Earth. How unfortunate it is that the Obama regime turned out to be even more disagreeable than the heinous Bush administration as it continuously unfolded after the 2001 Washington coup.
Apple - Rotten to the Core
From Wikipedia
The double Irish arrangement is a tax avoidance strategy that multinational corporations use to lower their corporate tax
liability. The strategy uses payments between related entities in a
corporate structure to shift income from a higher-tax country to a
lower-tax country. It relies on the fact that Irish tax law does not include U.S. transfer pricing rules.[1] Specifically, Ireland uses territorial taxation,
and hence does not levy taxes on income booked at subsidiaries of Irish
companies that are outside of the state. In the late 1980s, Apple Inc. was among the pioneers in creating this tax structure.[2]
This is not just a problem for England or British based anti- tax dodging activists, the US economy is also being ripped off by these so-called corporate persons who have declared themselves above the law and above regulation.
The Frankenstein's monster of free market capitalism and globalist imperialism is of course that virtual superpower we now know affectionately as Greater Bilderbergia.
By playing off the Irish and US tax systems, Apple seems “to have
achieved what Senator Carl Levin described as the holy grail of being
taxed nowhere at all”.

Free at last, the corporate person achieves ideal psychopathy, no reponsibilities to anyone except to the money machine and ever more boundless riches stuffed into fewer and fewer pockets.
An Irish-registered but US-run Apple subsidiary received $30bn of income between 2009 and 2012, but filed no tax return. Others appear to have negotiated Irish corporation tax rates of 2% (the official rate is 12%).

The only advice I can give really is know your enemy and whenever possible plunge a dagger into the the corporate personality disorder's back (figuratively speaking of course)... militant consumerism is one way forward, buying nothing is another and undoubtedly the best strategy. As ever the magical substance known as confidence remains the target, but as a victim of British austerity myself, I resent seeing the economy getting robbed while Dublin banksters and politicos just get fatter. There's no trickle down going on here.

Good Morning Aaron
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but my first thought here is 'Frank Zapper Catholic Girls', when I read the title that’s what I thought and it made me laugh. But none of this is funny, I'll have to read it properly over breakfast and come back with a more serious comment. But for now, I'm just having a chuckle about Zappa, he always did make me laugh. :-)
Evening Loretta ...yeah a good track, I too am a great admirer of the late great FZ.....Not this time though as it happens :-)
DeleteOMG..............that wasn't exactly what I had planned as suitable breakfast viewing. The convent girls arms dealers! The whole thing is scary. Have to admit I didn't know about the arms trade in Ireland, I know we ( UK) rely heavily on the arms trade to sustain our economy but I didn't know about Ireland.
ReplyDeleteThe stuff about tax avoidance doesn't surprise me at all, but my attitude to this is 'What do you expect'? It always amazes me that people are shocked when companies do every thing possible to maximize their profits. They are constantly looking for ways to pay less and earn more while remaining more or les within the law. It they actually stray outside the law they risk having their profits taken away. So why is any one surprised or shocked about this? That’s what companies do, its how our entire system works, it’s the way our system is designed to work. I don't understand how successive governments both here and abroad promote capitalism as the golden grail of economics and then say...'oh but that’s immoral'. Of course its bloody well immoral, what’s that got to do with any thing? Companies are not designed to be moral, they are designed to make money, they are not social workers, they are money making enterprises. If we want morality, if we want every one, both individuals and corporate companies to contribute their fair share to society.............the solution is blindingly obvious, quit with this capitalism crap which is designed to put profit before people.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh sorry Aaron, I'm singing to the choir again, preaching to the converted.......etc etc............
Good read thanks
Indeed Loretta I couldn't agree more....we can rage against the maching and we do but the real value of that as I see it, is that we attack the very lifeblood of capitalism which of course is 'confidence'. The magic ingredient in all capitalist economies is confidence... without which they face paralysis and atrophy, so it makes sense to expose the corruption in order to undermine confidence in the polity and the economy.
DeleteAs a project I think we can say that this is going very well at the present time, we have I think become a nation of more canny shoppers and that is all to the good I believe. Thanks for visiting and leaving your comment Loretta, I am a bit slow catching up at the present as there aren't enough hours in the day to do the things I am involved with in the so-called 'real world'. Catch you again soon :-)
It appears that if dodgy double Irish tax laws didn't exist, the modern corporate robber barons would have had to either invent it or companies like Apple would have staged a coup in the "Old Sod" and run the country via computer from their Silicon Valley feudal campus in super-posh Cupertino, California, a part of the USA where people of normal means are increasingly driven out or under bridges due to high rents and lack of government-sponsored housing. Computer right-Libertarians make a mockery of the tax systems because they spread money like "manure dispersal units" to professional politicos, all the while insisting they, as Google claims, "do no evil." Not doing evil seems a small contribution to the commonwealth in my view.
ReplyDeleteThey do damn little good, that's for sure!
The benign feudalism of multi-national companies is hardly benign as companies like Apple have piggy-backed on USA, European and East Asian social capital and then refused to pay their fair share over the old cloak of free markets which only mean that those without an army of lobbyists pay the taxes and why General Electric and Apple, et al, they get by with minimums rates at best.
The video shows some of the advantages of "neurality", where it seems the Republic of Ireland have a government that sees no evil, much like a green Switzerland which happily flies under the radar, passing itself off as a little folksy rural country of beer and old gents in cloth caps clicking their heels by the old country signpost...when in reality paramilitary squads and arms dealers have a neat little playground to supply the world arms market.
How quaint in a very cold and lethal way.
Thanks for the eye-opener here, AA.
Thanks Doug for your most welcome comments and your very apt simile regarding 'manure dispersal units' and the profession of politics as practiced in every 'canton' of Greater Bilderbergia. There are many 'manure dispersal units' sitting in the Houses of Parliament as I'm sure there are in the US Congress. I think it would be great idea to refer to elected members of these and other national institutions as MDUs in future.
DeleteI also concur with your account of Switzerland Doug....what Guinness is to Ireland ...Toblerone is to to Switzerland... and this is typical of the insideous means by which these 'neutrals' have there way in the world, a world I have noted that largely comprises of alcoholics and/or chocoholics whose ability to resist is minimal .
I'm sure young ladies featured in the film are much better educated than many of their peers now and I hope that they will one day run the place and will get this sorted out once and for all.
It's high time that Apple was peeled, de-cored and pulped of you ask me Doug.
