After watching this film I wanted to have a discussion of secret societies like Fraternity and Sorority societies in the United States of America and the Cambridge Apostles in the United Kingdom. But before doing that I want to represent a different view of history, one in which much of the 20th century was an exercise in social control, public relations, advertising, spinning and the creation of consensus by the newly developed technoligies of persuasion that forms the global mass media.
What is the history that was fed to us at school and in popular culture is nothing but lies and propaganda? In the light of emerging information released alter our Hollywood image of the Second World War and the tales of valour and sacrifice that feed into this dramatised disinformation. This subject of a revisionist history of the 20th century has appeared here and in the predecessor sites on Yahoo 360 and Multiply over getting on for a decade. It now seems that further evidence is coming to light that casts doubt on the 'official' account of the war and the balance of forces it represented. This video contains information which if only half true blows the official history of WWII completely out of the water, there is a lot more evidence from where this came from. In many respects the Second World War is a fiction although the death, disease, and insane destruction were all too real of course, but who was fighting whom and why is a far more complex set of questions than the official story allows for.
