Man of War is Prince of Peace - And the Beat Goes On

In the aftermath of the swearing in of Barack Obama  for a second term as president of the United States on 20 January, I return to the idea from my earlier post on Multiply in November 2008 that was written after Obama was first elected, namely that it was deemed to be in the strategic interests of the United States to have a black African president, in the post-Bush phase of American neo-imperialism. 

At the time I wrote:-

"So while there is dancing in the streets in America and across the world because Barack Obama has seemingly swept away the bad old days of Bush and US militarism, the sad truth is that this event has extended and developed that militarism in the newly promoted African theatre of operations."

Well, things have moved on since I posted that blog, the most stable and advanced economy in Africa, Gaddafi's Libya has been bombed into the Middle Ages and is now a political and social basket case, thanks to the Obama adminsitration, its Wall Street backers and it's NATO surrogates.

The 2008 blog mentioned the developing 'push for Africa' as the final frontier for capitalism to expand and where new forms of exploitation will create unprecedented wealth in the hands of the few. This has been borne out by history, as has my conviction throughout the last presidential race that Obama would win, even when planted stories in the corporate media suggested otherwise as the cliffhanger PSYOP kicked in toward the end of the so-called "race".

Obama's record has been as I predicted marked by increased violence abroad and the ongoing and unrelenting extension of US theatres of war reflecting Washington's global ambitions.

The Obama regime has been particularly associated in increased assassination by CIA drones. On February 4, 2002, the first killer-drone strike occurred in Afghanistan. Since then there have been approximately 423 similar attacks, 52 authorized by George W. Bush and the balance by Obama. 

The increased use of drones by the Washington regime reflects war weariness at home and the political unsustanability of continued military losses abroad. There is positive evidence that US drones have committed war crimes, in that they have targetted civilian rescuers and even funeral parties in an ongoing terror campaign in areas as far apart as Yemen and Pakistan.

Recent research by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism has found that since Obama took office three years ago.... "between 282 and 535 civilians have been credibly reported as killed including more than 60 children.  A three month investigation including eye witness reports has found evidence that at least 50 civilians were killed in follow-up strikes when they had gone to help victims. More than 20 civilians have also been attacked in deliberate strikes on funerals and mourners. The tactics have been condemned by leading legal experts.......

Privately some senior US military officers say they are extremely uncomfortable at the way the administration is carrying out these operations using the CIA which is not covered by laws of war or the Geneva Convention. The use of drones outside a declared war zone is seen by many legal experts as setting a dangerous precedent. Aside from allies such as Israel, Britain and France, other countries have drone technology including China, Russia and Pakistan. Iran recently captured a downed US drone."

 Mr Obama and his friends at the CIA heve massively increased drone attacks and opened a whole new extra-judicial execution arena by remote control video murder games which also happen to be crimes against humanity. But really the regime's use of drones is only the tip of the iceberg, making up less than 10 percent of at least 20,130 air strikes the U.S. has conducted in other countries since President Obama's inauguration in 2009.

 The Obama administration is responsible for at least 18,274 air strikes in Afghanistan since 2009, including at least 1,160 by pilotless drones. The U.S. conducted at least 116 air strikes in Iraq in 2009 and about  1,460 of NATO's 7,700 strikes in Libya in 2011. While the U.S. military does not publish figures on "secret" air and drone strikes in other countries, press reports detail a five-fold increase over Bush's second term, with at least  303 strikes in Pakistan, 125 in Yemen and 16 in Somalia.

So, all the evidence is clear Barack Obama is a man of war and not a man of peace, even if in a supreme act of cynicism and political posturing he was sworn in this week on Martin Luther King's bible.....King must be spinning in his grave.

But all that is just posturing for the domestic audience who live on the promise of jam tomorrow... while things only get worse for many victims of the artificially manufactured 'recession' which is the cover for the greatest rip-off of all time.

Obama and co are going for broke, they want everything and they will do anything to get it.

This brings us back to Africa, the new battelground and the location for a largely surrogate World War Three that is actually already happening there and has been for quite some time.

Africa is rich in oil, gas, gold, silver, diamonds, uranium, iron, copper, tin, lead, nickel, coal, cobalt, bauxite, wood, coltan, manganese, chromium, vanadium-bearing titanium, and much, much more as well... including plentiful cheap labour.

In 2007 the US military created  a newly resourced AFRICOM.... the full spectrum invasion force and the strategy to sieze these priceless riches by force.

Commenting upon the scramble for Africa in which the US is trying to destabilise the existing Chinese relationship with African countries, Stephen Lendman writes in Global Research, December 26, 2012:-

CIA elements operate covertly virtually everywhere. So do US special forces in 120 or more countries. Fifty-four nations comprise Africa. 

In 2013, the Pentagon plans sending “small teams” to over 35 of them. Perhaps they’re already in most of the other 19.

Reports about their role limited to training and equipping efforts don’t wash. US forces everywhere are combat trained and ready.

Special forces are assassins. They specialize in search and destroy, extrajudicial assassinations, and other lawless acts.

Washington wants unchallenged African dominance. AFRICOM was established to rape the continent’s riches. Proxy and direct wars are prioritized. Expect much more in resource-rich areas.

As the first African/American president starts his second term let us not for one minute assume that this has anything to do with American civil rights, or Martin Luther King....that is just propaganda and disinformation.

The reason for Barack Obama's meteoric rise to statesmanship is that he is the mascot of AFRICOM and part of the same PNAC programme that carves up the world and is currently invading Mali.

Obama's first term was characterised by a long trail of broken promises at home and ever widening trail of bloodshed and destruction abroad.

Meanwhile just in case you thought that the Obama regime reserves its crimes against humanity for those living in other countries, think again. In the farcical drama surrounding the “fiscal cliff,” PSYOP...the renewal of the FISA Amendments Act (FAA)—the 2008 legislation that allows for warrantless surveillance of the emails, text messages, and internet searches of US citizens—seems to have slipped under the radar as Obama's internal security forces crank up another notch on the totalitarian totem pole.

It is interesting to me that Americans can become very quickly incensed by any perceived breech of the Second Amendment to the US Constitution, but then seem to pay only scant attention when the Fourth Amendment is effectively abolished before their very eyes.

I think the world is in for a very bumpy ride under the aggressive policies pursued by the Obama regime so far and more so in the future. Whatever you may think of Barack Obama as a man or as a president it was all created by the advertising industry anyway, it is like trying to ascribe a personality type to Ronald McDonald or Colonel Sanders and all part of a bigger business plan which, for the sake of convenience, we call the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) after the famous think tank that conjured up Obama from nowhere not that long ago and put Africa central to any futures market map of unregulated profiteering to come.
